Insured Investment Accounts

 

Savings accounts and Certificates of Deposits are a great way to prepare for a college education, retirement, something special or unexpected emergencies.


Regular Savings

  • Interest will be credited to your account on a monthly basis.
  • Up to 12 withdrawals, at no charge, during each semi-annual period ending June 30 and December 31
  • No service charge if a $100 minimum balance is maintained.
  • Statement service charge will be waived for customers who are under age 19 or who have a combined statement with their checking account.

Money Market Savings

  • Interest will be credited to your account monthly, with rates tiered according to your account balance.
  • Opening balance of $2,500 is required.
  • Maintain a $2,500 minimum daily balance to avoid a monthly service charge.
  • Money Market checks are available and will be returned to you in your monthly statement.
  • You may have a total of 6 transfers or cash from your account in each monthly cycle.

Super Sweep Savings Account
To help you keep your money working for you in a higher yielding account, the Super Sweep Savings Account allows automatic transfers between your Pender State Bank checking and savings account.

  • Open a Super Sweep Saving Account with a minimum of $10,000.
  • Interest will be credited to your account monthly and rates are based on your account balance.
  • Funds are deposited into a checking account and “swept” between the checking and savings accounts according to an individual contract. Transfers from your Super Sweep Account are limited to 6 per monthly account cycle.
  • Maintain a $10,000 minimum daily balance throughout your monthly account cycle to avoid a monthly service charge.

Certificates of Deposit
Pender State Bank offers a wide variety of terms, with tiered rates that offer you higher annual percentage yields for higher investment amounts.

  • Terms range from 91 days – 60 months
  • Minimum opening deposit of $500.00
  • Certificates of $10,000 or more may receive monthly interest checks.
  • Substantial penalty for early withdrawal.

Retirement Accounts: IRAs, SEP IRAs, SIMPLE IRAs and Roth IRAs

Health Savings Account
A Heath Savings Account is an account you can put money into to save for future medical expenses.  To be eligible to contribute to an HSA, you must have an HSA-qualified high deductible health plan and meet certain other restrictions.  You can use the money in the account to pay for any qualified medical expense permitted under federal tax law.  This includes most medical care services, dental and vision care. There are certain advantages to putting money into these accounts, including favorable tax treatments and our HSA’s earn interest!  Talk to a Personal Banking Representative about more information.

  • Minimum opening deposit of $100.00
  • Interest rates are variable and are compounded and subject to change quarterly
  • There will be a monthly service charge of $2.00 if your HSA account balance falls below $300.00
  • There is a one time fee of $25.00 which includes the set up charge, an HSA Check Card and  checks
